Sage Smudge Stick Small

$9.95

Smudging is a ceremony practiced by some Indigenous peoples, that involves the burning of sacred herbs, in some cases for spiritual cleansing or blessing. While the particulars of the ceremonies, and the herbs used can vary widely between tribes and nations, many use forms of sage for example, common sage or white sage and cedar that is local to their region. Not all Native American and First Nations cultures that burn herbs for ceremony call this practice “smudging.”
Smudging has become more and more popular, as people are now understanding it’s spiritual benefits, along with the availability of sage. We have three sizes in the Smudge-stick range, depending on the task at hand.
When you want to clear out the energy of a particular room, using a sage smudging stick is easy and effective. To begin smudging close all the doors and windows in the selected room. Take the sage smudging stick and light it up and allow the sage to burn until it smokes. Hold the stick in your dominate hand and start at the furthest corner from the door and rotate the smudging stick clockwise and continue throughout the room walking backwards so as not to walk through the smoke. You can say a small affirmation while rotating the sage stick such as peace, light, love and happiness fills this room. After you have smudged the entire room, close the door and let the smoke rest for a few minutes. After a few minutes walk back in and open the window to release all of the energy and smoke out of the window. This room is now cleansed and your ready to move on to another room.
